Expert Marketplace strives to make the website as accessible as possible within technical capabilities and in alignment with applicable standards such as the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), even though the service is exclusively offered to business customers (B2B) and thus, under current legal provisions, does not directly fall under the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG).

1. General Description of the Service
   Expert Marketplace is an online platform for booking and mediating speakers, moderators, and experts for business events, training sessions, and corporate functions. The content is exclusively aimed at companies, organizations, and public institutions. Experts can list themselves on the booking platform, provided they also operate their own business under §14 BGB. Therefore, listing is only possible for commercial providers.
   
   

2. Usage Explanation
   The website offers a structured overview of expert profiles, thematic focuses, and booking information. Content can be viewed without registration. Contact inquiries or bookings are made via integrated forms. The website is responsive and optimized for use on mobile devices.
   
   

3. Accessibility Status
   The website is continuously being developed. Although there is no legal obligation under the BFSG, we align with the requirements of BITV 2.0 and implement measures to improve accessibility step by step.
   
   Evaluation Method:
   The assessment of accessibility is currently conducted through internal self-evaluation based on the criteria of BITV 2.0.
   
   Measures Implemented So Far:

   • Structured HTML markup and clear navigation logic

   • Mobile optimization and responsive design

   • Text alternatives for essential images

   • Contrast and browser-side zoom functionality

   Planned Optimizations:

   • Optimization of color contrasts for accessibility

   • Addition of missing alternative texts for images

     
     

4. Non-Accessible Content
   The following areas are currently still limited in accessibility:

   • Certain modules (e.g., dropdowns, filter functions) are not fully operable via keyboard. The adjustment is technically complex.

   • Some images lack descriptive alternative text. Post-processing is being done gradually, as the effort for subsequent capture is high.

   • Improvement of keyboard operability for all interactive modules

   • Content from external booking systems is beyond our control. We are in communication with the providers to encourage improvements.

   We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of these contents—within the economic proportionality of a B2B portal.
