The signs point to human
Do you know the feeling? You have high standards for yourself and therefore want to be perceived as a human with all your different facets and, above all, taken seriously. Whether you stand as a successful entrepreneur in front of your employees, try to keep the conflict potential in your family as low as possible as a father, or are a selective customer on the go. It always comes down to the same thing: you value being yourself and being able to act self-determined and responsibly without immediately encountering a wall of resistance. Easier said than done. But the desire for everything to fit together and for your everyday life to run as harmoniously as possible is always greater. Everything should be as coherent as possible: the job, the partner and the family, your passions, your hobbies, and your very personal, individual well-being factor.
Somehow it was never different:
This human desire is not new. After all, humans are social beings and need interaction and relationships with other people. Self-determination is human. Or have you ever wished to be controlled by your environment without being able to contribute self-determinedly? Probably not. Especially when it comes to fundamental things like your job or family. After all, you invest the majority of your life in these social units. And the new generation of employees places a special value on this. Generation Y has kicked the turbo towards self-determination and raised the bar quite high. Following the motto: "We are good enough to want everything." How should employers now jump over this bar?
Human interaction in business:
What does this circumstance mean for human interaction in business?
Quite simply, make the employee your top priority. You do it with your friends and family, don't you? My credo: The company as a family. Every person is unique and should be treated as such. In many companies, employees are simply not asked about the reasons for their satisfaction or, better said, dissatisfaction. Sometimes the simplest questions are the most difficult. Why? Because we take things for granted that are not at all.
Basically, it always comes down to the human being. Or rather: it's about the employee as a top priority. The rediscovery of the individual in business will become a necessity in the future. Something fundamental will have to change in the attitude of many companies. Essentially, it is a modern relationship principle that should be lived throughout the entire work process in our companies in the future. In this sense, it is about rediscovering the employee as the first customer in the digital, transformed world.
The leader as a partner and coach of the employee
The modern leader of the future creates an environment in which the employee's wishes, competencies, and expectations are taken into account. The mission of the employee has only just begun. And it is time for many companies to jump on this revolutionary bandwagon before they are overtaken at high speed without having secured a ticket. Jump on the moving, digital train and think about your corporate culture now. And never forget to act, following the motto: "
I make my employees a top priority."
