Gabriele Wimmler's two most important life principles are: "No matter what you do, ALWAYS give your best" and "recognize and live your uniqueness"! We asked the successful trainer, who regularly inspires the audience at PHOENIX events, how personality and motivation training can impact the success of a pharmacy. PHOENIXprint: The topic of personality and motivation is more important in the workplace than ever before. However, to be able to improve in this area, one needs top-notch support. You were named the top trainer in the Austria-Germany-Switzerland region for 2018, what are your main focuses? Gabriele Wimmler: Yes, that's correct - the topic of "personality" and "sustainable self-motivation and self-responsibility" is trending more than ever. With these seminar focuses, I am hitting the spirit of the time and have made it to the "Top 100 Excellence Trainers" list. Especially for people working in consultation and sales, one's own personality is becoming increasingly important. Current studies confirm that our success depends only 15% on our expertise and 85% on our personality. One of our most important skills is therefore the ability to build relationships and trust with other people. But also to trust ourselves and our abilities. More and more pharmacies are realizing that motivated and enthusiastic employees and customers are THE central long-term success capital of a pharmacy and are therefore investing in personality and sales training. Because only enthusiastic employees can also inspire customers. PHOENIXprint: In your opinion, what sets successful pharmacies apart from less successful ones? Gabriele Wimmler: Primarily, the abundance of motivated, committed, and mentally strong employees. Today's customers and employees want to feel enthusiasm, experience motivation, recognition, and appreciation. Because only when the mood is right, will the performance be right in the end. In an increasingly digitized world, values such as humanity, trust, empathy, respect, and appreciation are coming to the forefront more and more. And precisely these values can make the crucial difference for today's pharmacy. The pharmacy is the place of trust, personal advice, and expertise. With this unique selling proposition, the pharmacy of today can position itself uniquely and thus stand out significantly from the rest of the market! PHOENIXprint: The pharmacy market has been undergoing changes for some time now - how do you assess the further development? Gabriele Wimmler: Here I find one of my favorite quotes very apt: "When the wind of change blows, some build walls and others build windmills." From my point of view, this can be applied 1:1 to the current pharmacy market. Some build walls and others build windmills. Change and the courage to take new paths can also be seen as a huge opportunity. Paralyzing routines, old habits, and always wanting everything to stay the same can be significant obstacles to success. Revenue, performance, competition. Pharmacies and their teams have never been under such high pressure of performance and competition as in this fast-paced and digitized era. Those who want to be successful in the long run must leave entrenched systems and old structures, but above all, take new paths. I want to motivate with my seminars to proactively shape these changes, be open to new opportunities and possibilities, and look optimistically into the future! I encourage stepping out of one's comfort zone and daily making the best out of oneself and situations. PHOENIXprint: What are the main focuses of your seminars? Gabriele Wimmler: My seminar program is based on the following three pillars:
- Inspire yourself and your customers
- Personality sells - Confidence as a key to success
- The successful sales conversation - moving from product features to customer benefits
