Confidence in turbulent times - 3 tips

How to Escape the Loss of Control and Shape the Future with Confidence. Many people feel a loss of control in the face of the many problems around us. Through our actions, we cannot really influence and control anything recognizable. Or can we? No matter what we do, how we decide or behave, everything somehow remains as it is. Climate change does not stop just because we ride our bikes more often. This perceived loss of control leads many to resign. Confidence for the future arises through action in the present! How can we escape powerlessness and increase our confidence? Here are 3 concrete tips: 1. Focus on what you can do Break down the big problems so that you only have small packages to carry, understand, and where you can directly make a difference. This will give you a good feeling. For example: If you are shocked by current wars, get involved in your city to ensure that aid is distributed to refugees. This turns the huge "war package" into a small parcel that you can carry, and your sense of self-efficacy will satisfy you. Each partial success shows you that you can achieve something. 2. Redirect perception Notice what works, what is good, what skills and resources we have. This will increase your self-confidence and you will be able to - preferably together with others - find a new direction, release energy, and create something new. Focus on the facts and inform yourself about where there are already new solutions and ideas. Fortunately, we are not alone. There are so many dedicated people! Join forces with them! 3. Accept situations for the moment if you cannot change them. The more you fight against a situation and struggle with the fact that it is not as you would like it to be, the more energy it costs you. Rather, use this energy to be active within your current possibilities. Every crisis is a turning point! It always comes down to the question: How do I decide? In which direction do I go? Now more than ever, it is important not to resign and to maintain or regain your confidence. Confidence is a true elixir of life that supports us in difficult times. By nurturing and sharing positive thoughts of confidence and being aware that we have influence in our lives, we regain more energy, become calmer, more creative, and more positively inclined, even our defenses increase, and we recover more quickly from illnesses. Surround yourself with positive and inspiring books, podcasts, or movies that can boost your mood and confidence. Go out into nature. No matter how wet, cold, or gray it may be out there right now. Experiment with different approaches and find out what works best for you. Be like the sunflower! Did you know that the sunflower turns back to the east even at night because that's where the sun rises the next morning? So let's turn towards the sun in the darkness!
