This woman knows how to deal with DEMANDING customers: Business consultant Maria-Th. Schinnerl secured the prestigious award in the category "Personnel and Training" with a training initiative specially developed for the food giant SPAR.
It is not for nothing that it is called the Oscar of the consulting and IT industry: The Constantinus Award has been honoring Austria's best knowledge-based services in the fields of business consulting, information technology, and accounting annually since 2003. Out of approximately 150 submitted projects in seven categories, the 70-member jury of the professional association UBIT selected the winners and invited them to an exclusive award ceremony in Kitzbühel. In the category "Personnel and Training," Mag. (FH) Maria-Theresa Schinnerl from the Salzburg consulting company "die impulsgeber" emerged victorious with the project "The 'DEMANDING' Customer: When the Customer Raises Their Voice." The training initiative was designed for solution-oriented complaint handling for executives at the SPAR branch in Marchtrenk. "Customers nowadays have increasingly higher expectations. Consequently, employees are frequently confronted with complaints in their daily work. Since a noticeable number of employees found these complaints burdensome and demanding, a specially designed training initiative was launched," explained Maria-Th. Schinnerl about the starting point of her project. Within 40 weeks, all store managers and assistant managers were trained using a "train-the-trainer system" and prepared for these challenging situations. With great success: The highly successful seminar series has led to increased employee satisfaction, and currently, around 85 percent of customer complaints are transformed into a positive shopping experience.
