Women in the workplace and their self-worth!

The text highlights challenges women face in the professional world, emphasizing the importance of self-confidence, self-worth, and recognition of their unique skills. It calls for a shift in mindset, awareness, and support to empower women to succeed and be valued in both professional and personal spheres.

Women in the workplace and their self-worth!

"Women in the professional world don't have it easy." So how does this help? According to a study by the KoFa Institute, highly qualified women have to apply more often than men with the same qualifications. Nothing new so far - the media repeatedly report in this direction. I have taken "women" and the topic of "women and their self-worth" to heart. In my lectures and workshops, women who consistently undervalue themselves - both professionally and personally - keep showing up. Every time I hear certain statements and descriptions from these women, I am shocked anew. Isn't it astonishing that despite their good education, skills, and top performances, women still lack self-confidence and self-determination in companies? One can only demand something self-determinedly if one knows one's abilities well! Where does this terrible fear of demanding something come from? When women make themselves visible through their demands, there is a risk of being seen and heard. Many suddenly can't handle that. Self-determination means freedom, and many cannot grasp that! ### What does self-confidence mean for women in the professional world? Anyone who wants to stand their ground and be successful in the professional world should know that women do not have to be like men. Women have a lot to offer in the professional world, but they are constantly compared to men and treated unequally. Change should start with awareness. Differentiation is needed! Dear women, learn this by consciously recognizing your qualities. Women mainly score points through so-called "soft skills." These include: - Empathy - Communicative behavior - Relationship orientation - Good time management It is important to recognize one's own value and to be independent. The awareness must arise that women can make a significant contribution to a company's success. But there is still much to improve in personal life as well. In my opinion, many partnerships would run differently if women understood how to economically position themselves well and securely - on an equal footing, so to speak. Back to the business world. From my experience, there is a considerable range of jobs for women, but WOMEN need self-assurance, self-confidence, and sometimes more BITE. Therefore, it is time to consciously (and possibly with a second person) deal with the skills and the entire spectrum of previous activities. ### Role models for women in the professional world In the past, we women have not had too many positive role models. Either they were women who played with their power or those who performed their achievements unseen. Women in the professional world need to be motivated to excel in the working world. The focus should be on the personal level and not just on external assistance, such as providing childcare or family-friendly working hours. Small steps with a great impact: - Strengthening positive self-worth - Building healthy self-confidence It sounds so easy, I know. But this is the way to motivate, inspire, and alleviate women's fears and insecurities. This can only be done step by step. Essential for significant progress in these areas is to provide men with a new approach to the female world view. New ways of thinking are necessary, not power games and certainly not competition. This is only possible if both sides approach things objectively without mistrust and fear. Let's start thinking anew, with new perspectives.
