Every 4 years in the summer, they take place. The next time will be in 2024. The Olympic Summer Games will be held in Paris. Olympiad, Olympics, Olympic Games. The terms are often used interchangeably. However, there is a big difference between referring to the Olympiad or the Olympic Games. The Olympiad is the period between two Olympic Games, whereas the Olympic Games refer to the event itself. Next year, it will happen again. The Olympic flame will be lit. For about 3 weeks, the best athletes from around the world will compete for medals and rankings. Millions of people will be eagerly watching, in Paris, in front of screens, and in the stadiums. Being able to deliver optimal performance now and at this crucial moment to ultimately reach the summit of Olympus. That is the great challenge that needs to be overcome. The Olympic Games have a magical allure, not only for the athletes but also for the spectators. This event captivated me as a young girl in front of the TV and ignited the Olympic flame within me. However, this "fire" is not only carried by Olympians or top athletes, but by each one of us. The question is, what motivations are needed to ignite this fire? I would like to awaken this fire, this passion in you. And once it is ignited, we embark on our "Olympiad" and persistently and tirelessly pursue our great goal. The Olympiad is an intense and exhausting period of training, which usually receives little attention in the public eye. Isn't this often the case in real professional life as well? We work hard on content and projects, hoping to successfully bring them to fruition in the end. Of course, on this sometimes rocky path, we must overcome highs and lows. What drives athletes to pursue their goals so persistently and tirelessly, often achieving them in the end? Not only as a javelin thrower does one have to learn to deal with the different wind conditions in life. Sometimes there is a tailwind, sometimes a headwind. Defying the wind is by no means an option. Relentlessly refining one's own technique, learning to cope with the different wind conditions to ultimately make a big throw. Willpower, perseverance, and a positive mindset are trainable and important qualities for a content and fulfilling (professional) life. Do you want to be one step ahead of the competition in the decisive moment with the best throw, whether facing a headwind or a tailwind? Then my presentation is perfect for you. Benefit from the experiences and insights of my elite sports career and apply them to your personal or business motivation.
