Dortmund, December 1, 2022 – The diverse framework program for BOE INTERNATIONAL will feature six stages from January 11 to 12, 2023: "LET'S TALK-STAGE," "DIGITAL STAGE," "SAFETY & SECURITY STAGE," "ACTS ON STAGE," "MICE STAGE," and "COMMUNICATION STAGE." An overview of the program is already being presented by Messe Dortmund. LET'S TALK STAGE On the first day, the focus is on sustainability in the event industry, an area where BOE INTERNATIONAL, in collaboration with 2bdifferent, its strategic sustainability partner, is actively involved. The spotlight is on intelligent circular economy for trade fair and event concepts without waste. Dr. Christoph Soukup and other experts will address this topic. Additionally, CO2 accounting is on the agenda. Another topic is sustainable destination management with representatives from convention bureaus, event locations, city marketing, and congress organizers. 2bdifferent will discuss how systemic certification is implemented in practice in the ISO 20121 Talk with various players in the event industry. Legal frameworks like the Climate Protection Act prompted the two associations fwd: Bundesvereinigung Veranstaltungswirtschaft e.V. and IFES, the global umbrella organization for trade fair and event service providers, to offer a "convoy concept" in cooperation with 2bdifferent for ISO 20121 certification for Sustainable Event Management. The stage will provide a preview of the 9th digital excellence conference, scheduled for June 15, 2023, in Frankfurt, with two special lecture highlights: Prof. Dr. Anabel Ternès von Hattburg, a leading figure in sustainability and digitalization, will provide valuable insights on these topics. Eberhard Schnebel, an economist, philosopher, and theologian who has been teaching business ethics, corporate ethics, and digital ethics at Goethe University in Frankfurt since 2013, will also be featured. SAFETY & SECURITY STAGE The stage program is designed by the Federal Association for Event Security (bvvs) and the Association for Media and Event Technology (VPLT) and addresses all safety aspects in the planning and execution of events. The lecture "12 ½ years after Loveparade Duisburg 2010 – What have we learned? How do we proceed?" by Prof. Dr. Ing. Jürgen Gerlach, a lecturer at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and a multiple award-winning security expert, is eagerly anticipated. "Learning is everywhere" will introduce the European educational project PACE-VAT, focusing on a partial certification of lifelong learning documented in a smartphone app by speaker Randell Greenlee, Head of Business and International Affairs at VPLT. The panel "Social Sustainability: Labor and Skilled Workers in Times of Demographic Change," featuring high-profile participants from EVVC and VPLT, will explore what sustainable employment relationships in the event industry will look like in the future. The program kicks off on January 11 with the keynote from the winner of the "Newcomer of the Year 2023 by GSA," who will be announced by the German Speaker Association the day before.
