The Association

We, the volunteers of Helfer auf Achse e.V., have set ourselves the goal of helping where help is needed! Our still young association aims to realize relief goods transports at regular intervals to provide assistance on site. For this purpose, we regularly organize actions to collect relief goods. Additionally, we participate in fairs and events to raise awareness for our cause. We specifically visit social institutions such as children's aid organizations, nursing homes, or refugee camps. Furthermore, we also support animal shelters by providing them with animal food and equipment. All the institutions we support are selected by us and checked for their credibility. Each of our members volunteers, and all resources provided to us, whether in the form of goods or money donations, are directly invested in one of our actions.

Off to Botoșani

Our first tour starts on April 30 and will last approximately 14 days. It will take us from Stuttgart through Austria and Hungary to Romania, in the city of Botoșani. Here, we will visit a children's home and an animal shelter. For the children's home, in addition to a variety of toys and clothing, we were able to acquire a table football and through a generous donation, we also have a whole trunkload of hygiene items. The animal shelter will receive from us over 500 kg of animal food, medicine, baskets, and toys. The current plan is for six of us to drive to Botoșani in three cars with two trailers. On the way back, we will return without the trailers, as we will leave one each to the children's home and the animal shelter. Both trailers were also donated to us and will thus benefit the work in the institutions.

To be able to carry out our projects, as a charitable association, we depend on sponsors and donors. With their monetary donations, we finance our transports, which includes the purchase of vehicles, any repairs before and during the transports, fuel, and insurance. Any remaining funds will be invested in further transports and relief goods. We also welcome all kinds of material donations. Our focus is on anything that brings joy to children, those in need, animals, and social institutions. From toys, stuffed animals, and sports equipment, to medical devices such as crutches, wheelchairs, hearing aids, and prostheses. Food, baskets, and medicine for animals are also greatly appreciated by us. Monetary donations can be transferred directly to our association's account or conveniently sent to us via PayPal using the donation button on our website. For material donations, it is best to contact us directly. This can be done through a form on our website or via Facebook.
