How to develop into a dynamic, customer-centric company

The text emphasizes the importance of embracing change, especially in the digital age. It highlights the significance of leadership, sales, and change management in successfully navigating digital transformation. The key is to focus on people and adapt to constant changes.

How to develop into a dynamic, customer-centric company

In my personal and professional life, I have experienced many changes, whether through my own initiative or because the circumstances made it necessary.
But actually, it doesn't matter where the impulse comes from, whether from a partner, an employer, legal changes, the market (including customers and prospects as well as competitors).
The only crucial question that everyone should ask themselves beforehand or at that moment is: "Am I ready to accept changes?" or even better: "Do I enjoy something new?"
These 2 questions are crucial for your success!

“Success is when you love what you do”!

In the age of Digital Transformation (also known as digitization), many so-called buzzwords are circulating: IoT, AI, Big Data, Cloud, Agility, Industry 4.0, etc. But for me, Digital Transformation is primarily not a technological change, but rather the cultural or mental ability to proactively shape the future.
Many companies, especially in Germany, are currently facing the greatest challenge and change of the last decades. "How can I master this?" many decision-makers ask themselves.
As the CEO of a leading IT company, I have proactively and reactively answered and implemented these questions multiple times. Often successful, but sometimes less so.
What are the key measures for successful implementation of a digitalization strategy?
My experience and insights show that humans are at the center of successful Digital Transformation and that Change Management is the key to it.

But what is Change Management?
“Leading people through changes (through unknown territory to a distant goal), with the aim of appropriately considering, resolving, and ideally preventing tensions, conflicts, fears, and resistance.”

From my own experience, 3 key topics are crucial:

1. Leadership 2. Sales 3. Willingness to change (Change Management)

Leadership in the digital age (Leadership means serving your employees, motivating them, and enabling them to achieve high performance)

  • How to create a corporate culture that excites your employees and attracts new talents
  • How to motivate and engage your employees across hierarchies, cultures, and generations for mutual success
  • How to align your organizational and project structure more effectively with customer interests and measurably increase your company's success

Sales in the digital age (Turn your customers into fans)

  • How to understand what customers really want before the customer knows it themselves
  • How to respond to dynamic customer needs and become a partner to your customer
  • How to prepare your employees for the new challenges of the market and the new needs of customers
  • How to evolve into a customer-centric company, turn customers into fans, and sustainably increase your revenues

Change Management in times of constant change (Agility of corporate culture)

  • How to inform and motivate your employees, thereby creating transparency and acceptance
  • How to communicate the reasons for change, specify the goal, and show the way to it
  • How to mobilize and activate your employees, making them co-creators of change

“Agility is the ability of a company to continuously adapt
to its complex, turbulent, and uncertain world.”

Goldmann et. al 1995

If you proactively approach these measures with external support, you will successfully implement digitization and its transformation, thus evolving into a dynamically customer-centric company!

Wishing you much success in this endeavor!
