Exactly one year ago, the moving van arrived at my place. Moving after 18 years from a tranquil small town in the Taunus region to the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg. When was the last time you left your comfort zone? Have you changed jobs, trained for a sports challenge, or, like me, moved to a completely new city? The comfort zone we must leave when we want to change our lives is associated with effort and costs energy. It's not an easy task. Nothing stays the same. Yet life means constant change. Like a river that flows continuously, always trusting that there will be more around the next corner and it can grow very big. The dynamic that arises when people move forward for themselves is fantastic, because each one is reason enough! But change is initially potentially a threat to our own "survival" due to evolution, and if it is also associated with effort, our brain and body will always make the greatest effort to divert us from the plan of change.
Change is always about movement, and specifically our own movement
Whether making small changes in everyday life that have a big impact or summoning the courage to finally realize a big dream for oneself. It always involves movement, specifically our own. However, change often initially causes fear, and nervousness can sometimes make us feel like we're "swimming" in unfamiliar waters. Thoughts swirl like a vortex threatening to pull us down. Out of the old pond where we have been moving for so long. Out of the comfort zone that seductively beckons: "Stay with me. Here is the familiar, the constant, the orderly, the safe." Yet that is exactly what takes so much from us. The curiosity, the excitement, the new, the unknown. We can all break out of our own pattern and create a new one according to our own personal and unique ideas! Time is always on our side, not against us. Let's allow ourselves self-design every day anew with small, tiny, or big changes for our own path of the heart. For our soul, which can thus continually rediscover itself. Moving out of our comfort zone is still associated with effort and costs a lot of strength and energy. Overcoming the self-imposed limits in our minds. Because that is what takes so much from us. Curiosity, excitement, newness, adventure, and the many opportunities and possibilities that come with it. This raises the question: Where do we humans find new strength for change? We create strength for change by stopping, taking a break, pausing, feeling, listening within, and asking ourselves: What is personally important to me in my life? Which attitude, quality, and values do I want to internalize and embody? And then make a decision accordingly. Then it comes - the strength - from within that we need to tackle the change. Everyone is reason enough to create the life they truly desire from the heart, and it often starts with small steps. But first, we must decide to start moving. Act in a way that increases the possibilities for what is important to each individual. Utilize our own creativity and potential that each of us has been given on our journey. Learn to make decisions faster to grow internally. Follow and make your own path. Burn, for yourself and what is important to each individual from the heart, because each one is reason enough! The story of leaving my own comfort zone and the mental effort in changing my path to myself can be read not only in my new novel "I Am Reason Enough" but also as a keynote "Out of the Comfort Zone - Because You Are Reason Enough!"
