In the second week of January, the executives of a thriving medium-sized company were invited to the annual company internal New Year's meeting. Once again this year, the executives were asked to provide their personal leadership resolutions for the new year as a visual and textual representation for the company's "Business Vision Board." In the following week, both the executives and their teams were able to view the individually designed Business Vision Boards of their colleagues in the entrance area of the company... except for that of the sales director. He is not only visibly disappointed, but downright furious. During a shared lunch, he complains to his colleagues and vents his frustration. When the managing director learned of this, he personally searched for the sales director's goal collage. When he finally found it and held it in his hand, he felt like laughing out loud. In the midst of the Business Vision Board was the following image with a handwritten note attached: "Of course, one can get upset about other people. But one can also eat cookies. I will get less annoyed by trivial matters!!!" The turn of the year is a very special date for almost everyone - both personally and professionally. Right on the dot, the seemingly lost motivation returns, the good resolutions come out of the mothballs with a fanfare, and with enthusiasm and determination, the brand new notebook is pulled out, and the new year's to-do list is created. With an euphoric feeling of leaving bad habits and burdens behind from now on, and focusing on new wishes, resolutions, and goals, according to the motto: New year, new luck, I smell new morning air, the notebook is closed and set aside... and out of sight, out of mind, the resolutions are soon forgotten. Many companies and executives also take the turn of the year as an opportunity to plan new goals, projects, and a strategy for the upcoming business year. However, in implementing these resolutions, leaders need not only great commitment, motivation, and perseverance, but above all a clear goal in mind. Because a goal they do not see, they truly cannot hit, let alone manifest in reality. Support the implementation of your leadership resolutions with Business Vision Boards and autosuggestions! Harness the power of your thoughts, the power of your unlimited subconscious. Define your leadership resolutions and goals through images, following the saying: A picture is worth a thousand words, and support them with positive and affirming words, the so-called autosuggestions. Short, positive, precise, actively formulated sentences with which you can influence yourself. This way, you create for yourself and your team the state of "Moment of Excellence." Personal satisfaction, motivation, performance, productivity, and above all, serenity increase. This way, you effortlessly achieve your desired goals. Step 1. Visualize Your Leadership Resolutions 2018 You can create your Business Vision Board alone or as a team. It is a visual and textual representation of your personal leadership resolutions, visions, and goals in images. They are complemented with personal beliefs and motivating quotes and assembled in the form of a collage on a wall, a poster, or a whiteboard. The finished collage is positioned in a visible place in the company or office for everyone involved to see. Step 2. Repeat Your Autosuggestions 2018 Similar to creating your Business Vision Board, you can incorporate the daily repetition of autosuggestions alone or as a team, for example, as a morning ritual. It is essential that your autosuggestions align with your leadership resolutions and goals on the Business Vision Board! By daily visualizing your Business Vision Board and repeating your autosuggestions, you anchor your leadership resolutions and goals in the subconscious and unleash untapped powers. You unleash your full potential and achieve your goals. However, the habit monster named habit lurks everywhere, and to prevent you from ending up like our sales director in the story, following the motto out of sight, out of mind, I, as a competent communication expert in topics related to leadership, motivation, sales, and personal development (mental training?), would like to accompany you through the year 2018. With buzzards, eagles, and horses, I aim to further develop you as a personality and leader in my seminars, individual and group coaching sessions. In this spirit, I wish you a successful New Year. Yours sincerely, Daniela Ben Said
