On December 5th, the International Day of Honor took place. On this occasion, young people work at employers of their choice, waive their wages, and donate the money to locally determined good causes. Last year, around 10,000 students earned over a quarter of a million euros – a great achievement!
This year, the donated wages will go to three different institutions:
- The Caritas Stuttgart Children's Guest House, which provides daily and short-term care for children and teenagers with disabilities to support families and offer joint family leisure activities.
- In second place, the young people support TheSTEP e.v. in their skateboard courses, holiday camps, and reduced membership fees for children and teenagers from socially disadvantaged families, as well as for refugee children.
- Abroad, active assistance is also being provided: A donation is being made to the Rahovec Youth Center in Kosovo to continue providing disadvantaged children and teenagers with opportunities for education.
Participate? - Of course, Speakers Excellence is also fully committed! The opportunity to bring joy and relief to many children's lives is something Speakers Excellence couldn't miss, so they offered a spot in their company.
A motivated student quickly stepped forward, eager not only to engage in social work but also to get a taste of the professional world.
For a day, he escaped the school routine and delved into the exciting world of agency life.
Starting early at 9:00 am with other trainees, he not only completed organizational tasks but also gained insights into the various events, fairs, and forums scheduled for the upcoming period. Each department was introduced to him, giving the student a behind-the-scenes look.
By the end of the day, the Speakers Excellence team and the hardworking student had not only supported a good cause together but had also gained valuable experiences for the future.
