Passion for Outstanding Service – Interview with Mag. Schandl

What defines exceptional service for you?

Excellent service is created in small, magical moments when an employee goes beyond expectations. These "MicroMoments" shape a company's image significantly. Whether it's greeting a customer by name, offering proactive assistance, or adding an unexpected bonus – these gestures leave a lasting impression.

Why is passion essential in your profession?

Long-term success is impossible without passion. Businesses are built on people – employees don’t leave companies; they leave their managers. That’s why leadership plays a crucial role. Enjoying your work leads to "performance happiness," which not only benefits individuals but also drives business success.

How can one find their path to performance happiness?

Success comes from knowing and utilizing your strengths. When you love what you do, you amplify your impact within a team. In my seminars, I witness how mutual motivation fuels peak performance.

Can you share an inspiring example?

I experience personal performance happiness when reading Amazon reviews of my book or Google reviews of my speeches. Another inspiring example is my office landlord, a successful farmer, who passionately works day and night simply because he loves what he does. That is true performance happiness.

Job dissatisfaction: Change of perspective or career switch?

The first step should be a change in perspective: "Love it, change it, or leave it." If you can't love your work environment, try to change it. If that’s not possible, an internal move or a new job might be the answer. Everyone has untapped potential – let’s make it shine!
