Personal Growth: Is 2019 the year of your personal growth?

The text discusses personal growth, emphasizing the importance of setting challenging yet achievable goals, facing failures as opportunities for growth, and having the courage to pursue one's visions. Courage is highlighted as a key factor in driving personal growth.

Personal Growth: Is 2019 the year of your personal growth?

The new year 2019 has begun and we are already almost in February. Madness. Those who have set resolutions and goals have now had almost a month to deal with them. ### Failure and Courage as a Prerequisite for Personal Growth? Defining resolutions can be a difficult matter. Setting one's own goals too high can lead to a bitter disappointment. Setting them too low involves no risk, and "success" is guaranteed without challenging oneself. The goal is to have goals that both challenge us and are within the realm of possibility. My topic today is "personal growth," as this is a long-term demand on myself, not a goal that loses its validity at the end of the year. ### Personal Growth - What is it? How do I achieve it? The new year starts off rapidly for me and I am looking forward to many special events that I have worked towards for a long time, intensively and passionately. I personally grow with my tasks, goals, and belief in myself. The opportunity to tell my story of personal growth, success, and my vision of Lingua-World - my company that I built from scratch but above all with belief in myself - fills me with pride. I was able to put this vision into writing in my book "A Suitcase Full of Willpower - How I Built an International Company with 50 Marks and a Dictionary," which will be released in early February. So suddenly, I found myself in a new situation again - a new personal challenge that I accepted with joy. ### Failure as a Prerequisite for Personal Growth? Can failure be a prerequisite for personal growth? I know how that sounds, and yet my answer is yes! I have to go back in time to show you how a supposed setback drove me forward. ### Long, long time ago... Before I founded Lingua-World, I had a market analysis done, which I received for free and eagerly awaited at the time. I thought this would finally be the starting signal for my long-awaited own company. Then finally came the result, stating "The market is oversaturated. We advise against starting a company in the translation market." I was devastated. How could such a devastating message drive my personal growth forward? Initially, this news was very disheartening for me. However, it made me think about how I could implement my vision, not whether. One could almost say that the disheartening news allowed me to rethink and thus I came up with my new concept - the concept of Lingua-World. For personal growth, there is no success factor, no strategy to hold onto. However, there is one attribute that I find necessary. Personal growth primarily means courage. Courage to leave one's comfort zone - courage to allow and realize one's own visions - courage to recognize one's own weaknesses - courage to take the uncertain path - courage to face and confront fears - courage to transform from a passive to an active stance. As Immanuel Kant recognized: "Dare to use your own reason." So your courage also has the power to drive your personal growth forward. Be courageous, and 2019 will not only be the year of your personal growth! **[Learn more about Nelly Kostadinova here.](https://www.expert-marketplace.de/redner/details/nelly-kostadinova/)** Experience her exciting live lecture at didacta 2019 in Cologne!
