Cut the bullshit - The Magic of Simplicity

The text emphasizes the importance of concise communication in the digital age. It advises not to lose the direct style despite criticism and highlights successful figures like Steve Jobs who valued simplicity. Being brief and clear leads to success and credibility.

Cut the bullshit - The Magic of Simplicity

Do you know this feeling too? You have briefly and concisely explained a problem in a meeting. Or your business plan, instead of being 150 pages long, is only 10, where you clearly and purposefully show the upcoming developments that are understandable to everyone. Your brief explanations provoke critics. They say it's too simple, too short. They believe you need to elaborate more. They claim that it hasn't been exhaustively discussed. What these know-it-alls are actually trying to say is that they are too dumb and limited to understand the matter precisely. But don't worry, it's actually the other way around. If you have the ability to get to the point concisely and clearly, then you are on the right path to success in the digital age. Do not lose your direct, concise style due to this unjustified criticism. Don't fall for these ignorant individuals. Even Albert Einstein once said: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it." You are aligned with many brilliant and extremely influential people by focusing on the essentials. For example, CEO Richard R. Deupree of Procter & Gamble (The "One Page Company") who fundamentally refused to read anything longer than a page. Or Steve Jobs. He rarely wrote an email longer than two lines. A large part of Apple's success lies in the simplicity of concepts and products. He is a good example of how to manage the complexity of the digital age. In the digital age, the one who is able to say what needs to be said leads their employees and regularly outperforms the competition. Simply, briefly, and convincingly. The old saying still holds true when it comes to written work, that trodden curd becomes broad, not strong. In today's fast-paced world, it is absolutely counterproductive to work through and discuss all options and possibilities in detail only to never implement them anyway. What is needed today: Make a decision simply and quickly, communicate it clearly, and actually implement it. Turn simplicity into a virtue. Express yourself clearly, speak and write directly. Your employees will understand you this way. They will know what you expect from them and what you want. You will see that this also makes you more decisive. Conciseness in expression makes you authentic and credible. To your critics who still haven't grasped the magic of simplicity, just say next time: "Get to the point and then keep quiet!"
