Teambuilding as the Basis for Time Management and Burn-out Prevention.
Alexander Pointner and Thomas Graber Inspired Quality Experts
Teambuilding as the basis for time management and burn-out prevention. This was the motto of Alexander Pointner and Thomas Graber's presentation at the Bavarian Quality Day. Once a year, coaches and members of the ServiceQualität Deutschland initiative gather for an exchange of ideas. The two experts impressively demonstrated how to form a team to have more time for oneself, the truly important tasks, and also more leisure time. With a clear goal: to achieve more success.
Alexander Pointner shared his experience as head coach of the Austrian ski jumpers. "It's actually an individual sport," he says, "but my vision was to form a team." He succeeded in elevating all ski jumpers to a higher level and true heights. "Success does not come from perfecting individual aspects, but from the interaction of all factors." He achieved this level through unconventional methods and approaches. His ski jumpers also had to perform in theater. Relaxation also played a crucial role. "Quality and quality of life suffer when it's always about faster, higher, further." Everyone must feel comfortable to perform at the highest level.
Thomas Graber demonstrated how this can look in everyday business life.
"Time is quality of life," is one of his key statements, which he describes with the term Me-Time. To find this time for oneself, one must create space, eliminate time-wasters, and define a fixed schedule for the day. "You have to organize your day in a way that you can be happy in the evening," says Graber. He specifically showed how one can work more relaxed but also more successfully with a personal philosophy, strict rules of the game, and setting priorities. This also includes being able to say no and delegate responsibility to others. Only in this way can entrepreneurs find time for themselves in the stressful everyday life, to relax, get out of the rat race, and thus prevent the increasingly common burn-out.
