Top class also in the studio: Teleclub strengthens its team of experts

As the only Swiss TV channel, Teleclub will show all matches of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League live starting from next season. To strengthen the high-caliber team, former top referee Urs Meier, one of the most famous football personalities in Switzerland, has been recruited. Marcel Reif joins the strong lineup and makes a comeback as a commentator. In 27 years, Urs Meier officiated 883 games, became a FIFA referee in 1994, and earned respect from players and fans in over 40 UEFA Champions League and numerous UEFA Europa League matches. Between 1998 and 2002, he officiated important World and European Championship matches, including the 2002 World Cup semi-final between Germany and South Korea. In the same year, he had more highlights in his long career: he refereed the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen and was voted the second-best referee in the world. Urs Meier is excited about his new role as a referee expert at Teleclub: "Through my experience as a TV expert for ZDF, I know what to expect. Being able to accompany the UEFA Champions League with Teleclub is a stroke of luck for me - because I associate a lot of unforgettable memories with the premier class, both professionally and personally." Marcel Reif: Expertise of the highest caliber Teleclub achieves another coup with Marcel Reif: The football expert makes his comeback as a TV commentator. In German TV, he became a legend through his live broadcasts, including for Sky. Since 2016, he has been working as a Teleclub expert for the Raiffeisen Super League. "I feel an incredible desire for this new task and can't wait for the new Champions League season to begin. We will create a wonderful product," says an enthusiastic Marcel Reif. Urs Meier and Marcel Reif join the panel of experts including Mladen Petric, Gilbert Gress, Rolf Fringer, and Pascal Zuberbühler. "With these high-caliber football personalities, the premier class is not only played on the field - we also have them in our studios!" Claudia Lässer is convinced. From the 2018/2019 season onwards, football fans can watch all 137 matches of the premier class live on Teleclub - with 121 games exclusively. Teleclub will also broadcast all 205 matches of the UEFA Europa League live (190 of them exclusively).
