Do you remember how we used to deal with illness and health in the past? Health was simply there, and if an illness came, then it was just not there anymore. Either you recovered or went into early retirement, dragged yourself through life, or did not survive the illness. Today it is different. We live more consciously and try to understand ourselves better. We learn how our body functions and what signals it sends us when something is not quite right. And even when we get sick, we do not accept that the illness will derail us, limit us, and dictate the tone in all areas of our lives. We enjoy vacations, even if a serious autoimmune disease would like to prevent that. We stay in our jobs, despite cancer. We work on our life circumstances so that our minds are no longer constantly under stress. We learn to live with a diagnosis and do not let it hold us back. And we know that we can tackle many complaints again or even prevent them by adjusting one or two screws in our lives. I try to lay the foundation for this new perspective on life and our own health in my books, TV shows, video courses, and lectures. On the one hand, by conveying medical knowledge through powerful images, stories, and a touch of humor - that is, how the body and mind function, what needs they have, and what signals they send us when things are not running smoothly. And on the other hand, by empowering the self, also known as empowerment or self-empowerment. One could also say: By conveying a positive attitude towards ourselves and the realization that we are in control of our lives. The awareness that we are the ones driving our own car, deciding where to go, and not victims of circumstances. In my lectures and videos, I always try to convey that we can grab the navigation system at any time and change the course or route - for the better. Admittedly, this is of course no guarantee that we will stay healthy all our lives or be able to overcome a serious illness. But it helps us to stay active or become active and deal with the given circumstances, instead of feeling helpless and accepting the cards that have been dealt to us. And for this new awareness, for this positive attitude, I provide the necessary tools. Like a kind of emergency kit that is used very specifically depending on the situation. This includes, for example, strategies on how to deal with difficult situations, problems, and crises in everyday life, such as learning to say no, accepting help, and recognizing that it is okay to delegate tasks. And of course, the understanding that not everything in life and health needs to be perfect. But also very concrete assistance on how we can learn to help ourselves, our bodies, and our minds and take responsibility.
