Having a positive attitude that sees a task as a challenge and opportunity, without fear of failure, is much more likely to lead to success. The term mindset comes from English and means mindset, attitude, inner attitude, which also includes values and motivation. Our thinking and actions are greatly influenced by our own experiences and impressions; they are not separate areas but rather mutually affect each other. Our environment and experiences with our social circle shape our attitudes, our self-image, and the goals we want to achieve. These beliefs form unconsciously over the course of our lives, but sometimes the impressions, experiences, and resulting consequences, whether negative or positive, can be understood. Example: Each of us undergoes training, which is ultimately tested, and dealing with exam anxiety during the oral exam could be very challenging. One may stutter, forget the answers they have studied for weeks, and end up failing. Your mindset is your attitude towards how you deal with this situation in the future. Instead of telling yourself "I can't do this," say "okay, that didn't go well, but I want to pass, and next time I will definitely succeed, I see my goal in front of my eyes!" In short: Your inner attitude determines your behavior and thus its impact, how you present yourself, and ultimately your performance. Your mindset - your will to succeed - is crucial.
"A person will grow and achieve goals when they optimize their thinking."
The American psychologist Carol Dweck distinguishes between fixed and growth mindset:
People with a fixed mindset have an unchanging way of thinking. They believe that certain abilities are innate talents. When there is no success, they attribute it to lacking the corresponding talent and ability, leading them to fear making mistakes and first see their own limitations, causing them to shy away from challenges. These people limit their actions to their "innate" talents and abilities, avoiding everything else. People with a growth mindset are convinced that they will succeed if they exert effort and strive. They see the possibilities and opportunities that exist and embrace the challenges. They do not take mistakes and failures personally but rather learn from them to improve, further develop themselves, and push their boundaries. The dynamic mindset, unlike the fixed one, is an attitude that can turn failure into success! Indeed, the limits you have are the ones you set for yourself! You and your thinking determine the framework in which you act or do not act because you fear failure. It is clear that not everything you dream of is possible; some things will not come true despite so many efforts (such as the dream of building a time machine and traveling back in time to talk to the girl or boy of your dreams and live happily ever after) ;-)
However, if you are not willing to learn and develop, you will hardly achieve the desires and goals you have in the present. Having talents and abilities is advantageous but not decisive! Your attitude and mindset towards things are much more important. "Believe in yourself and in the success you will ultimately reap."
