Marketplace of Emotions - Workplace 2025

Future. Sven Gàbor Jánszky is currently the most innovative futurist in Germany. At the Knowledge Forum in Wels, he will be speaking about "The Workplace in 2025."

Jánszky's trend books "2025 - How we will work in the future" and "2020 - How we will live in the future" are shaping various industries. He provided interesting answers to some questions for CHEFINFO. CHEFINFO: Will we be controlled by machines in the workplace in 2025? Jánszky: In ten years, we will have a digital assistant for every aspect of life that can perform tasks better than us or answer questions better than a human expert. This will be very useful in most situations. If we want to be surprised or enjoy life at a slower pace, we will consciously switch off the assistants. As long as we know and use the ON/OFF switch, I would not speak of being controlled by external forces. CHEFINFO: Will we still go to an office in the workplace in 2025? Jánszky: Yes, most of us will. However, offices will look different: intelligent technology will be integrated into glass panels and 3D displays. There will be a strict division into large project workspaces, small silent rooms, and technology-filled communication rooms. Occasionally, one can also work from home or in a café, but the truly new thing in 2025 will be shared offices, small office complexes in the suburbs. There, you can rent space by the hour and work as if you were in the headquarters. CHEFINFO: Will we all become job nomads? Jánszky: I expect that about 40% of working people will become project workers. They are employed by a company, but only for a project. After 2-3 years, they switch projects and probably companies as well. Another 20% are self-employed and freelancers. Only 40% are long-term employees. It is likely that more than half of Germans will be working as job nomads.
