Medals and victories in a row - in ten years as head coach of the Austrian ski jumpers, Alexander Pointner became the most successful coach in his sport. In his lecture, Pointner gave an insight into the world of top-class sport, which is in many ways characterized by the courage to jump. At the beginning there was the vision of raising ski jumping to a level never seen before, both in terms of sport and economy. Over the years, through meticulous and systematic work, he formed a team out of individual athletes that rose to unimagined heights. At the same time, the ultimately unfulfillable expectation of faster-higher-further led him to the realization that sustainable success was not possible in this way. This was the decisive factor for him to dare to take the leap into a new form of coaching: the courage to be imperfect and absolute trust in existing abilities are the cornerstones of this philosophy, which has also had a strong influence on his personal development.
Alexander Pointner covers the following topics in his lectures:
Team development
Team structure
Communication
