Katherina Reiche has excellent knowledge and networks in politics and business. At just 29 years of age, Reiche was part of the team of experts of Chancellor candidate Dr. Edmund Stoiber, former Prime Minister. She was a member of the German Bundestag for 17 years and, among other things, as deputy chairwoman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, was responsible for the environment, nature conservation and reactor safety as well as for education and research. From 2009 to 2013, Reiche was Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for the Environment and from 2013 to 2015 to the Federal Minister of Transport. She was a member of the Federal Executive Board of the CDU and is on the board of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS). Since 2015, Katherina Reiche has been the General Manager of the Association of Municipal Enterprises (VKU) and President of the European Employers' Association CEEP. Katherina Reiche is a member of various advisory boards, including Quadriga University Berlin, Energy Economics Institute at the University of Cologne (EWI), RWE AG and Rhenag. Katherina Reiche was a participant in the 110th Baden-Baden Entrepreneurs' Talks.
