Lenn Hoffmann and Jonas Nolte have known each other since their school days. Even while still at school, they began experimenting entrepreneurially: prompted by a challenge, they sold regional eggs, questioned existing workflows, and searched for more efficient solutions. Jonas started early to develop initial digital and programmatic approaches to simplify processes. Over several years, these experiments evolved into a real business model. After graduating together from high school (Abitur) in 2023, Lenn decided to dedicate a start-up year and worked full-time on building Bauer-Lieferant. During this phase, customers were acquired, regional farms were connected, and a functioning delivery and logistics system was established. At the same time, the company’s technological capabilities continued to develop. With growing experience, the focus gradually shifted from pure trading toward software and automation. Internal tools, digital process solutions, and AI-supported applications ultimately led to a clear pivot: away from the traditional delivery model and toward a software company for agriculture and farmers. The goal is to replace analog paperwork with digital systems (Farm OS). Since 2024, both have been pursuing dual studies: Lenn in Business Administration (BWL) – Retail/Trade at the Retail Association Baden-Württemberg, and Jonas in Business Administration (BWL) – Digital Business Management at IBM. Jonas is the official co-founder and is responsible for technology, software development, and AI, while Lenn oversees strategy, business development, and market expansion.

From a Student Idea to a Software Company
Lenn Hoffmann and Jonas Nolte share a long-standing friendship – one that began at school and deepened through their joint entrepreneurial journey. As true AI natives, they developed their first business ideas while still students, digitized processes, and started with a simple product: regional eggs. What began as a spontaneous challenge quickly evolved into a creative entrepreneurial lab.

Building a Start-up Through Their Own Efforts
After graduating from high school (Abitur) in 2023, Lenn chose an entrepreneurial gap year and dedicated himself full-time to building the start-up Bauer-Lieferant. During this phase:

initial customer groups were established and regional producers were connected
a functioning delivery and logistics system was created
the first technical solutions were further developed

Jonas, who had developed an early interest in digital process optimization, simultaneously built an app-supported platform designed to simplify and automate workflows.

From Delivery Platform to Farmer OS
With growing market experience and technological expertise, a clear pivot followed – from a traditional trading model to a digital solution for agriculture and mid-sized businesses. Today, their focus is on:

developing AI-based tools and digital process solutions
building a platform to digitize analog workflows
leveraging AI in the most effective way to increase efficiency

Clear Division of Roles
Since 2024, both founders have pursued dual study programs: Lenn specializing in Business Administration (BWL) – Retail/Trade with the Retail Association, and Jonas in Digital Business Management at IBM. Their roles within the company are clearly defined:

Jonas leads technology, software development, and AI
Lenn oversees strategy, business development, and market expansion

Together, they pursue one shared vision: making agriculture future-ready through intelligent software, true to their motto:
“Agriculture instead of paperwork.”
