When AI Meets People
Simon Mattheis is a keynote speaker on artificial intelligence, leadership, and the future of work. He is one of the few experts who does not explain AI transformation from a lab, but from hands-on experience across more than 190 companies. Anyone looking for a keynote speaker who takes both technology and people seriously will find a thought leader with a clear message: AI does not fail because of technology. It fails because of trust.
From Global Corporations to SMEs
For 18 years, Simon Mattheis has been supporting transformation where it actually happens: in executive teams, HR departments, and workforces – from Volkswagen, E.ON, and Deutsche Bank to municipal utilities and family-owned businesses.
He has managed international digitalization projects worth more than €56 million across Europe, South America, and the Middle East. He has led New Work and AI transformations across entire organizations and built two business units dedicated to Agile Transformation and New Work.
Today, in a senior management position at one of the world’s leading audit and consulting firms, he is responsible for digital HR and artificial intelligence transformation projects for banks, insurance companies, and international corporations. For a global pharmaceutical company, he used AI-powered labor market analysis to identify the future skills required in sales. He also supported an energy provider with 1,300 employees for two years on its journey toward modern ways of working.
As the founder of NWR Consulting, he brings this expertise to SMEs, focusing on leadership development, organizational development, and AI in business.
Straight Talk Instead of Buzzwords
On stage, Simon Mattheis combines international corporate experience with a deep understanding of SMEs. He explains why so many organizations are repeating the same mistakes with AI that they previously made with hybrid work. More importantly, he shows leaders what they need to do today to ensure their people actively support change instead of simply waiting it out.
His keynotes are clear, practical, and tailored to each audience – from executive boards to employees, from HR conferences to SME business forums.
The Person Behind the Speaker
Simon Mattheis studied Business Information Systems and Corporate Development in Hanover and Los Angeles. This combination of technology and people continues to shape his work today.
As an entrepreneur, he built his own consulting firm, NWR Consulting, and therefore understands both sides: developing strategy within a corporation and taking responsibility when it is your own company on the line.
He goes running whenever his schedule allows and has a passion for building new things. Anyone who experiences him quickly realizes that he is not a theorist. He is someone who leads and learns every day – and openly shares what he has learned, including the uncomfortable lessons.
