Uwe Rühl combines many years of experience in operational crisis management with entrepreneurial know-how like no other. He worked in the emergency services for over 17 years—as a paramedic, emergency call dispatcher, operations manager, and trainer in the rescue service. His specialist training ranges from flight paramedic to consultant for CBRN(E) situations. He has led operations in major disaster situations and at international events such as the 2006 World Cup. He has 30 years of leadership experience, including many years in senior positions in disaster control and non-police hazard prevention.

In addition to his impressive practical experience, Uwe Rühl has a broad academic background. He holds several master's degrees, including in business administration, security and safety management, and compliance management. His research focuses on organizational resilience, information security in supply chains, and quality management in control centers. As a university lecturer, he imparts his knowledge in a practical manner in the areas of data protection and information security – always with the aim of making complex systems understandable and controllable.
