Dr. Wolfgang Frick is a keynote speaker, bestselling author, brand expert, and business coach with more than 30 years of experience in leadership, marketing, retail, and brand management. What makes him particularly relevant for businesses: he does not speak from a consultant’s perspective, but from first-hand management and leadership experience. His career has taken him from sales and international marketing to the executive board, where he was responsible for purchasing and marketing. Along the way, he managed brands across nine countries and negotiated with some of the world’s leading suppliers.
Today, Wolfgang Frick works with companies and executives as a speaker, business coach, and “Marketing Sommelier.” His keynotes combine strategic depth, practical business relevance, and a subtle sense of humor. His core topics include leadership, decision-making, appreciation, brand positioning, negotiation, as well as the role of human experience and natural intelligence in the age of AI.
As the author of several books, he has been exploring successful brand management and better decision-making for many years. In 2026, his book “60 Shades of Leadership” will be published, sharing experiences and lessons from his professional career. Wolfgang Frick has also been recognized as a “Top 111 Public Speaker DACH 2026.”
His expertise is built on two academic degrees – in economics and communication studies – as well as a doctorate focusing on brand identity. After starting his career in sales, he spent 26 years in retail. As International Marketing Director, he established a brand across five countries. He later headed the marketing activities of a family-owned company, doubling the brand’s advertising recall. In Switzerland, he ultimately served on the executive board with responsibility for purchasing and marketing, overseeing pricing, product range, brand strategy, and a purchasing volume of CHF 800 million.

“Wolfgang Frick possesses outstanding professional and management expertise, combined with exceptional experience. His refined rhetoric makes him an excellent speaker who captivates audiences and makes it easy for them to understand and embrace the brand message.”
Stefan Leuthold / Former Chairman of the Board, CEO and Owner of SPAR Group Switzerland, St. Gallen
“Wolfgang Frick provides compelling arguments for the future success of the retail sector.”
Tobias Wasmuth / Managing Director, SPAR International
“What I particularly appreciate about Wolfgang is that he spares no one – least of all himself. He has the courage to look where others prefer to look away. He calls things by their name, even when the truth is uncomfortable. And he does so with a lightness that can only come from someone who has experienced every level of an organization firsthand – from the warehouse to the executive board. Those who know leadership only from PowerPoint speak and write about it differently. Wolfgang knows it from Monday mornings, inventories, crisis meetings, and difficult employee conversations – and that is exactly what makes him so engaging.”
