And the answer is: yes and no.

Fact 1: The integration of gamified elements can boost learner motivation by providing playful incentives such as points, leaderboards and rewards.
BUT: Gamification alone does not create lasting motivation – it requires relevance for the target group and a sound concept.

Fact 2: Gamification can increase learner participation and engagement with content.
