As a former Benedictine monk, pastor and theologian, Anselm Bilgri, recipient of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, spans the arc from philosophy and religion to business. He places the requirement of a value-oriented life, a value-oriented corporate culture, in the context of centuries of experience. As the long-standing head of the Andechs Monastery business operations, he has management and leadership experience against the backdrop of the Rule of St. Benedict, who laid the foundations for the first business enterprises in medieval Europe 1500 years ago - still highly relevant today. Anselm Bilgri spent thirty years as a Benedictine monk, including as the economic director and prior of Andechs Monastery, which he shaped into an economically successful spiritual center with a worldwide reputation. Anselm Bilgri left the order in 2004 and is now self-employed as a lecturer, author, coach and mediator. 2013 co-founder of the Academy of Leisure and founder and 1st Chairman of the Munich Foundation and since 2018 associated consultant of the CCG Cooperative Change Group. Anselm Bilgri's topics range from value orientation to current issues in business and society, his topics arise from his biography as a Benedictine monk, theologian and pastor, executive, management consultant and author.
