Bertrand Piccard was born to achieve the impossible. He is part of a famous family dynasty of explorers and scientists who have conquered the heights and depths of our planet, and made history himself with the first non-stop round-the-world flight in a hot-air balloon on board the Breitling Orbiter 3. The Solar Impulse project, the round-the-world flight in an aircraft powered solely by the sun, was born from his vision of demonstrating the enormous potential of renewable energies. He is a pioneer of clean technologies who has already achieved his goal of finding more than 1,600 profitable solutions to protect the environment. Trained as a medical doctor and researcher, Bertrand Piccard has become an influential voice for progressive thinking in terms of progress and sustainability. His new adventurer is now flying non-stop around the world with a hydrogen airplane and zero emissions.
