Ewald Wessling studied economics, journalism, and philosophy in Münster, Harvard, and Stanford, and received his doctorate from the Department of Money and Currency in Münster. As managing director, he was responsible for the first profitable online presence of Europe's largest magazine publisher, Gruner + Jahr. Today, he supports companies in transferring their strengths to digital markets and teaches as a professor for new forms of communication at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He is a member of the supervisory board of Vogel Medien Holding and of Seniorbook AG (chairman). Ewald Wessling lives in Hamburg, is married, and has four children.
