Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Dudenhöffer, an expert in automotive economics, has been the holder of the Chair of General Business Administration at the University of Duisburg-Essen since 2008. He founded the renowned CAR-Center Automotive Research and has extensive experience in management positions at international car manufacturers such as Opel, Porsche, Peugeot, and Citroen. Dudenhöffer graduated with honors from the University of Mannheim and previously taught Marketing and Business Management at the Westphalian University.

Vita

Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Dudenhöffer studied economics at the University of Mannheim (1972-1977) and received his doctorate there with distinction (summa cum laude) in 1983. From 1985 to 1996, he held various management positions at international car manufacturers (Opel, Porsche, Peugeot, Citroen). From 1996 to 2008, he held a professorship for marketing and business management at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, where he founded the CAR-Center Automotive Research in 2000. Since 2008, Dudenhöffer has held the chair for general business administration and automotive management at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen, where he also heads the CAR-Center Automotive Research.
