Franz Alt has been committed to climate protection for many years. He is convinced that its consistent implementation could solve not only our environmental but also our current economic problems. Franz Alt studied political science, history, philosophy, and theology. Even during his studies, he stood out from the crowd and earned his living through magic. No title could describe Franz Alt more aptly: He is a lateral thinker who critically examines ecological, political, and economic issues. He has received numerous awards for his commitment, including the German and European Solar Prizes in the 1990s. In addition to subsequent journalistic awards, he most recently received the "Golden Flower of Rheydt" in 2007, Germany's oldest environmental award.
