Prof. Dr. Friedbert Pautzke is Germany's first professor of electromobility at Bochum University of Applied Sciences. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Wuppertal and was a research associate in the Department of Automation Technology and Technical Cybernetics at the University of Wuppertal from 1986 to 1991. In 1995, Prof. Friedbert Pautzke received his doctorate in the field of safety-related control and measurement technology. In 1991, he worked at the Krupp Mannesmann steelworks, most recently as plant manager of a mechanical and electrical engineering company. From 1999, Prof. Dr. Pautzke held a research and teaching position at Bochum University of Applied Sciences and represented the fields of measurement, control, and process control technology in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science until August 2009. In 2000, he was an invited visiting professor at the Alexandria Research Institute of Virginia. Since 2009, Prof. Pautzke has been representing the teaching and research area of electromobility at Bochum University of Applied Sciences.
