In 2011, Computerwoche named him one of the 100 most influential personalities in the IT/communications industry in Germany. Dueck is the author of many bestsellers, most recently “Professional Intelligence”, “The New and its Enemies” and “Swarm Stupid”.
He regularly speaks on the following topics at symposia, conferences, company events, etc.
Innovation: Here he lists the dangers of creating something new and sheds light on the background.
Swarm stupidity (his book “Schwarmdumm” from 2015): New education - empowerment, not just enlightenment. Individually we are intelligent - but not as a swarm!
The world after cloud computing: The internet is revolutionizing. Self-driving cars are changing our lives, yeast bacteria are replacing petrochemicals. We control everything from our smartphones. A joint look into the near future.
BREAKING UP! Why we must become a society of excellence!” (title of one of his books). It is about the change in the world triggered by the Internet. Computers are taking the simple things away from us, so we have to build new industries in which “nothing is simple yet”.
Education of the future or HEAD REFORM: Education must develop a sense for professional work. But where do we learn all this? We need new education - empowerment, not just enlightenment.
Change! Change! Today, innovations are changing everything so abruptly that the general call for disruptive change is becoming unmistakably loud. Change is forced innovation.
