While studying business administration in Cologne, Jan Hofer worked in the radio editorial department of Deutsche Welle. This was followed by traineeships at various broadcasting companies. Hofer made his first television presentations in 1984 on the regional program of Saarländischer Rundfunk. Just two years later, he moved to Tagesschau. In addition to his work as chief anchor of the Tagesschau, he presents charity events and award ceremonies. In 2002, Jan Hofer was voted the most popular Tagesschau anchor by viewers. For years, Jan Hofer has accompanied well-known and smaller companies and start-ups on the path to developing a corporate culture and involving employees in decision-making processes. This is particularly true when several worlds are brought together, for example in company mergers and the associated problems of integrating new employees. Financial and political challenges such as Basel II or current pension issues are also current topics. The effect of media on the communication policy of companies and the associated interactions are part of Jan Hofer's area of expertise. This has also included the development of communications technology for many years.
