Vita

Dr. sc. techn. ETH, CMC Peter P. Acél studied mechanical engineering at the University (TH) of Karlsruhe. He then completed his doctorate at ETH Zurich. After completing his studies, he worked for ABB as head of several group projects. In his subsequent work for the BWI / ETH Zurich Foundation, he headed the Production and Logistics consulting divisions. Since 1996 he has been a managing partner of the management consultancy Dr. Acél & Partner AG in Zurich. His areas of specialization are: Logistics / SCM, production / technology and factory planning / operational planning. He is also a member of various boards of directors and foundation boards. Dr. Acél has been a lecturer at ETH Zurich since 1993 and is a sought-after expert who today guides national and international companies on the path to operational excellence. He is a certified CMC (Certified Management Consultants) and a member of the Swiss Chamber of Technical and Scientific Experts (SWISS EXPERTS). He is also the author of several publications in the fields of logistics, SCM, production, simulation, factory planning and operational planning and is a competent speaker at congresses and specialist forums.
