Prof. Sigmund Gottlieb

Professor Sigmund Gottlieb was editor-in-chief of Bavarian Television for almost 22 years. A comparable “term of office” in the media is very rare. He has been familiar to the general public for decades as a journalist who is not afraid to ask uncomfortable questions. Sigmund Gottlieb knows the German media landscape like no other, from the perspective of both the journalist and the creative manager. He is one of the most profound experts on German politics and business. Over the past 25 years, he has expressed his opinion in 350 “Tagesthemen” commentaries on ARD. He is one of the most opinionated journalists in Germany. Gottlieb is an honorary professor at the University for Applied Sciences in Amberg/Weiden, a member of the board of trustees of the Ifo Institute and the Deutsches Museum and, since 2017, an associate partner of the international strategic consultancy KekstCNC.
