Stéphane Garelli – a world-renowned authority on competitiveness – has been a pioneer in this field for over 25 years. He is Emeritus Professor at IMD (Institute of Management Development) in Lausanne, where he founded the World Competitiveness Centre, and also Emeritus Professor at the University of Lausanne. Professor Garelli maintains strong ties to the business world. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Le Temps, Switzerland’s leading French-language newspaper. Previously, he was Chairman of the Board of the Sandoz Financial and Banking Holding and Board Member at Banque Edouard Constant. For many years, he was Managing Director of the World Economic Forum and the Davos Symposium. In addition, he served as Senior Advisor to Hewlett-Packard's European Management for twelve years. He is a respected member of numerous institutions, including: – The China Enterprise Management Association – The Board of the Fondation Jean Monnet pour l’Europe – The Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences – The Mexican Council for Competitiveness.
