Thomas Lurz is a twelve-time world champion in marathon swimming, a silver and bronze medalist at the Olympic Games, and a multiple recipient of the German President's Silver Laurel Leaf. He has been a sports ambassador at s.Oliver for years, starting there as assistant to the CEO after his career as an HR International Manager and completing his MBA at WHU. For him, success and top performance are not coincidences, neither in competitive sports nor in his professional life. They are the result of continuous work, self-motivation, and discipline, as well as the targeted use of individual strengths and a personal network. Authentic, entertaining, and peppered with successes and anecdotes from his life as an athlete, Thomas Lurz succeeds in conveying his message to both men and women in his lectures: The right motivation is everything! With the Thomas Lurz Sports Foundation, which benefits people with disabilities, he is driving forward the topic of inclusion. As a lecturer at the University of Würzburg, he teaches young people "the basic principles of the world champion mentality." Together with Prof. Dr. Yasmin M. Fargel wrote the book "Swimming on the Wave of Success: What Young People Need to Know to Become Successful" for Thomas Lurz.
