Dr. phil. Walter Döring began his political career at municipal level in 1980. From 1985 to 1988, he was state chairman, and in the same year he became a member of the FDP federal executive. From 1988 to 2006, Walter Döring was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament, including eight years as chairman of the FDP/DVP state parliamentary group. From 1996, Dr. phil. Walter Döring was Minister of Economic Affairs and Deputy Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, in a coalition government of CDU and FDP/DVP. After leaving his ministerial post, Dr. phil. Walter Döring founded ADWM GmbH, among other things. The Akademie Deutscher Weltmarktführer focuses on the promotion of science and research. This includes in particular the organization of scientific events and training courses, especially the annual summit meeting of world market leaders. Today, Dr. phil. Walter Döring imparts his know-how at national and international universities as well as at forums and congresses. His motto is “Learn from the best.”
