Dr. Holger Schmidt is a digital economist, speaker, university lecturer and author. As a journalist, he has written about the digitalization of the economy for two decades, including 15 years for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Today, the economist teaches Master's students at TU Darmstadt in the subject of “Digital Transformation”. He writes about the digital economy as a columnist for Handelsblatt. He also advises companies on the development of platform models and is the inventor of the platform index. His blog “Netzökonom” is one of the most popular publications on the digital economy in Germany. His clients include small and medium-sized companies as well as international corporations. In his presentations, he inspires audiences with his in-depth knowledge of the digital economy.
